Can you use TheraCemCa with All Bond Universal for added bond strength?
You can, but you lose the benefit of TheraCemCa’s calcium release.
- If you need additional bond strength and are taking the time to place a bonding agent, our recommendation is to use BISCO’s All-Bond Universal with Duo-Link Universal.
I know TheraCemCa has MDP, but what happens if you use Z-PRIME Plus & TheraCemCa?
Applying Z-PRIME Plus to the substrate is not required when cementing with TheraCemCa. There are neither benefits nor consequences to using them together. Save time, and money and take advantage of TheraCemCa’s benefits!
With what type of substrates TheraCemCa can be used?
TheraCemCa is compatible with a variety of substrates including zirconia, lithium disilicate (e.max) and feldspathic porcelain.
What is the difference between TheraCemCa and BisCem?
Both TheraCemCa and BisCem are self-adhesive cements.
However, TheraCemCa includes the following features as compared to BisCem:
-
Calcium release
-
Higher bonds strengths;especially to Zirconia – Contains MDP
-
18-month shelf life at room temperature (BisCemrequires refrigeration)
-
Higher radiopacity and can be easily identified on a radiograph
-
Easy clean-up and removal of excess cement
-
Alkaline pH after bonding
Do I need to use silane on my glass ceramics restorations?
Yes, in order to achieve reliable cementation results, all glass ceramic substrates should be pre-treated with a silane primer such as BISCO’s Porcelain Primer.
